Email is a powerful and profitable marketing tool to connect you with your customers. These are 5 keys to remember when creating emails to get you high open, click through and sales results.

Below are the 5 keys you must master to if you want to maximize your revenue. You can copy and paste some of my top performing subject lines by downloading our cheat sheet.

The subject line is the entry point that drives your customer to open your email. You’re going to want to use a subject line that is short and sweet, but invokes curiosity so they want to see what’s in the email body. Don’t let a customer make a decision on your email without opening it – use the subject line to hook them in.

The content of the email needs to relate back to the subject line. Don’t trick people with click bait – it will just annoy them.

Include a call to action in the email body. Eliminate the thinking and distraction by including a button to make visiting your page or shopping the product simple and easy. Something like “Click Here to Start Shopping” can make a huge difference in your email campaign.

When sending a promotional offer always include an end date. People have a fear of missing out on something, so letting them know that the offer won’t last or adding a countdown timer can create a sense of urgency and increase sales.

You are not going to annoy people if you send a reasonable number of emails. Realize that the majority of people on your list are not going to see your emails, so reasonably increasing the frequency of your emails will increase your audience.
